I have already paid tribute to the NHS, but no harm in thanking them again. It can be difficult obtaining a GP appointment, I understand A&E can be a war zone; but if you really have a problem, the NHS will pick you up and treat you. I cannot fault the quality of the service, nor the dedication of the multi ethnic group of practitioners who attended to me; some of whom would presumably be thrown out of the country if the frog faced Nazi has his way

We were given a free parking card to use at the hospital, so the total cost of my treatment has been, to the nearest pound, zero. This may not always be the case. (again, see the frog faced Nazi).

Thank you NHS.

I also want to thank my family, friends and neighbours who have offered support and encouragement.

Most of all, I want to thank my wife who insisted that she would accompany me on every visit, meaning she had to change her working days and go to work every weekend, a seven day commitment for a month. She has fed me, supported me, encouraged me, loved me. It would have been so much harder without her.

Rumours that she only wanted to come to the hospital every day so that she could photograph the resident cat are completely untrue.
